Draping & Inspection:

• Draping: The patient's neck should be exposed from shoulder to shoulder, and down to the level of the manubrium and clavicles.

Auscultation:

• Auscultation of the neck: Performed for detection of a vascular bruit (i.e., in carotid stenosis) or a vascular tumour.
